Bipasha Basu, the new muse of Shyam Benegal!!
After Milan Luthria starting the trend of making films on the life of film stars (The dirty Pictures, based on South siren, Silk Smitha), followed by Madhur Bhandarkar who is currently working on ‘Heroine’, the latest to join the league is Shyam Benegal.Well, the director is currently making a film on Bollywood and how a starlet is exploited in the industry. And he has chosen none other than the very very hot Bipasha Basu to play the lead in the film.
A source explained, “Shyam Benegal is known for his take on various issues. After giving it a lot of thought, Shyamji finalised Bipasha Basu for the lead role. He wanted a glamorous face, who would also be a good performer.
That’s why he met up with Bipasha to discuss the role. She has already signed the film. He is on the lookout for two more lead actors and is in talks with a producer to collaborate on the film, which goes on floors in October.”
However, Shyam Benegal, while talking to a popular tabloid, said, “I am in Delhi presently and nothing is confirmed. It is too premature to talk about, right now.”
